Hi all and happy Fathers day!! If you have a solid father figure in your life, please show them some LOVE today. American culture really indoctrinates men into toxic masculine ideology, and anytime we have positive male influences who are there for us, that shit needs to be celebrated. Whether its your blood relation, chosen family, or even a zadddiiiii (I’m so sorry I even put that third one please ignore it) give them a hug today!
Now that that has been said: holy fucking shit what a week this has been. From yesterday’s record breaking protest numbers nationwide to the political assassinations, ICE abductions, Pride, and upcoming Juneteenth, this June feels like an absolute fucking whirlwind of activity (good and bad). Please everyone: take things in stride. Try and focus on small, tangible, things that you have influence/impact over. Tap into your support networks. Drink water. LOTS of water. The burnout is fucking real. Stay strong, and keep showing up for folks who need us all right now. Now: check out the πͺSLICEπͺ

Mutual Aid Request: Help the Callistos Get Housing
Remember last week how I mentioned I would be regularly sharing aid requests from the Trans-Wa Community Aid Directory? Well guess what bitch, I wasn’t lying. Clover and Sapphire Callisto have been fighting housing insecurity over the past 7 months. Clover is disabled, and Sapphire works full time plus some to try and get stable financial footing. Please consider helping contribute towards stable housing for two amazing community members. Check out their GoFundMe page here. I will continue to post aid requests listed in the directory each week, but please check it out yourself and help contribute to any/all funds you are able to support.

Reparate: A Days Wage with Creative Justice (Seattle)
I imagine most people reading this blog know the backstory of Juneteenth but just to educate anyone who doesn’t, here is an excerpt from Creative Justice NW, highlighting the day itself as well as why it is important for white people to reparate:
Juneteenth represents the day the last enslaved Africans in Texas learned that they were free according to the laws of the United States. This was two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed, meaning that many white land owning Texans benefited from the continued unpaid labor of Black Americans post Emancipation. This unpaid labor that Enslaved Africans were forced to perform for centuries generated billions of dollars of generational wealth for white communities and families that still shapes and defines the United States presently. This has directly resulted in the inequitable racial wealth gap that exists today.
Creative Justice is calling on those able to put their values into action do so as part of the ‘A Day’s Wage’ campaign. A second excerpt about this campaign below:
With Juneteenth now being a federally recognized holiday, non-black people who have benefited from this racial wealth now get a paid holiday off, yet black people who are the descendants of those stolen through the transatlantic slave trade still have not received economic reparations for centuries of unpaid labor. This Juneteenth, consider contributing your paid time off wages from this new national holiday to Creative Justice or another black-led organization as a form of economic justice…
It doesn’t matter if, as a white person, your direct ancestors were slave-owners or not. The fact that you are white in America means you have benefitted from slavery regardless. SO WE SHOULD ALL BE REPARATING IN SOME WAY, SHAPE OR FORM. If you would like to donate to Creative Justice NW itself, please do so here. They run some amazing programming in the Seattle area. That being said- consider donating your paid time off funds to ANY black-led organization, not just Creative Justice. I hope you all consider acting on this.

Support our Immigrant Neighbors: Bail and bond funds, legal resources.
If you don’t know how dire the situation is for immigrants in our country (especially right now) then let me lift the fucking rock up that you’ve been living your life under so you can crawl out. PEOPLE ARE BEING ABDUCTED. ICE have been detaining people at court hearings. ICE have been tricking people into coming to facilities under the guise of it being an important meeting pertaining to their immigration status (this literally happened in Seattle this weekend- including folks’ legal representation being denied access to the building). ICE are making people disappear every single day. We need to show up for them right now. As in, stop reading this blog, pull up one (or all) of these bail funds, and contribute money. If you are able: find an Anti-ICE protest in your area and get loud. Bring water. Bring extra masks. Leave your phone at home/ get a burner. If you’d like a more comprehensive list of resources (including state specific bail and bond funds) check out this post here.
Let me reiterate this one more time: OUR GOVERNMENT IS ABDUCTING PEOPLE OFF THE STREETS, FROM THEIR WORKPLACES AND FROM COURT. WE NEED TO SHOW THE FUCK UP.
Y’all- thank you for continuing to read this blog. I wanted to start The Slice as a way to keep sharing (what I think is) helpful information with my people who (I sincerely hope and also if you don’t don’t make me side eye the fuck out of you) have similar values. I also recognize that maybe I need to be held accountable for things shared here: if you ever see something that’s not totally accurate or current (things change so fucking fast) please let me know. I refuse to be some ivermectin-peddling-#SaveTheChildren-sharing-Facebook-algorithm-victim who is contributing to false information. I can and will update these as needed.
And on that note- I leave you with this inspirational quote from yours truly:
“May you never stop loving. Never stop thottin’ and boppin’. Never stop popping that pussy, bopping that bussy, and mopping that…..mussy. Not now, not ever. Since the beginning of time, humans have ALWAYS been popping their pussy. Through feast and through famine. Through peace and war. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, will ever stop us from doing one handed flips and tricks on his dick. So keep suckin’. Keep throwing it back. Keep using your BEST grapefruit on your man, and don’t ever feel bad about it.”
XOXO,
- Vel/Matt
